Why I decided to create a blog about Data Science?

To learn faster!

1. The first thing you do when you start learning Data Science is divide a big complex task into small ones and then find a solution on stackoverflow for each one of them. And then you just pray for that to work without even understanding how all those fragments of code add up. This, surprisingly, often works.

But when I try to explain how it all works to another person, in my case it is my wife and my 4-year-old daughter, then I digest this knowledge better and it finds its place in my brilliant brain.

And if I have to explain my project to a person who does not know anything about it, then I have to profoundly get every detail of it, thus it is definitely useful for me.

2. I want to receive feedback/criticism from other data scientists to grow. I recently posted a small video of facial recognition program on linkedin and received more than 13,000 views, many useful comments, and some criticism.

It's better to make mistakes while studying than while working.

3. This blog is a place to store completed projects with source code and visualization. Guess it will be nice to come back to it from time to time, refresh my memory and update the code if I come up with a better solution.

And, since this is a blog about Data Science, I should probably write something about data.

Below is an interesting illustration, just look at how much data we generate every day.
